Records Management Software and CAD Access Instructions
In partnership between Washoe County, City of Reno, City of Sparks, and REMSA Health, Hexagon Records Management System (RMS) and Computer Aided-Dispatch (CAD) System will support efficient coordination for law enforcement, fire services, and emergency medical services (EMS) across Washoe County.
CAD is the region's real-time dispatch platform for law enforcement, fire, and EMS agencies. It enables efficient call handling, unit tracking, incident prioritization, and location-based dispatching. Integrated mapping and communication tools ensure fast, coordinated responses across jurisdictions and agencies.
RMS provides secure, centralized management of public safety records. It supports data sharing and situational awareness for all partners where applicable and stores incident reports, response data, and case files to allow for better interagency visibility and reporting consistency.
Regional implementation of Hexagon is anticipated in Spring 2026. At that time, detailed forms, policies, procedures, and user guides for Hexagon access and usage will be published on this landing page. Please check back regularly for updates and additional information at as the implementation date approaches.
