VIN Inspections
Due to COVID-19 concerns, we are operating with limited staff and offering limited services. We highly recommend you visit the nearest DMV VIN Inspection Center for faster service.
Residents residing in unincorporated Washoe County, can request a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) Inspection with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office. This is an in-person inspection to verify the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) of both street and off-road vehicles. VIN Inspections can be performed at the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office facility, at your residence, or at the location of the vehicle.
The team that performs VIN Inspections is available Monday through Thursday from 7:30am-4:30pm.
