Washoe County Sheriffs Office will be renovating the existing public access lobby area from July 9, 2021 through December 2021. The following services will provided at 5190 Spectrum Blvd. Reno.

  • Field Services (crime reports must be filed online or call non-emergency dispatch)
  • Permits
  • Case Requests/Public Records Requests (can be done online)
  • Fingerprints
  • CCW
  • Check-in Sex Offenders Registration by mail (forms online)
  • New Sex Offender Registrations must be completed through Reno Police Department or Sparks Police Department
  • Civil

The Records Section of the Sheriff's Office is the central repository for all records produced by the agency including case reports, criminal history information, and detention records. The Records Section is also responsible for issuing Permits, Licenses, and Registrations such as work permits, carry a concealed weapon (CCW) permits, and Felon/Sex Offender Registrations.

One of the following types of personal identification is necessary in order to obtain any permit or registration offered through the Records Section:

  • Valid driver's license
  • State-issued identification card
  • Current U.S. issued passport
