Sheriff's Office seeks information about shot fired into garage in Galena

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is asking for information from the public that could help locate the person or persons responsible for a shooting that damaged a garage door and vehicle in the Galena area on Wednesday night.

Deputies believe the shooting may have occurred sometime between 10:00 and 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at a residence on Portland Drive, south of Vancouver Drive. The bullet passed through the garage door and damaged a vehicle parked inside the garage.

The resident was not aware of the damage until Thursday morning, at which time he notified the Sheriff’s Office. Deputies canvassed the neighborhood near where the shooting occurred and found no additional damage.
