Washoe County Sheriff's Office asks for public help locating subject from today's pursuit

Washoe County Sheriff's Office detectives have identified one of the two subjects from a pursuit that occurred earlier today in west Reno and is asking for assistance from the public with locating the whereabouts of this person. Detectives are also asking to hear from witnesses to today's pursuit.

The subject has been identified as Jessica Marie Mansoor. She was last seen wearing a white hoodie and blue jeans. A photo of Mansoor is attached to this press release.

The pursuit began around 11:30 a.m. on Monday, January 29, 2018. A Washoe County Sheriff's Office K9 Deputy attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a white Mazda occupied by two persons in the area of Fourth Street and Ralston Street.

The vehicle fled, crashed into a third party vehicle in the area of Riverside Drive and Vine Street, and continued west bound on Riverside Drive. Witnesses reported seeing a gun being thrown from the vehicle on Riverside Drive, the gun was located by deputies.

As the suspect vehicle approached Reno High School, deputies decided to terminate the pursuit in the interest of public safety. A short time later, officers with the Reno Police Department located the vehicle on the 2300 block of Westfield Avenue.

The vehicle was unoccupied. A perimeter was set and a search conducted for the two subjects from the vehicle. The subjects were described as a white male adult wearing a black jacket and blue jeans, and a Hispanic female wearing a white hoodie and jeans. Neither of the two occupants of the vehicle were located.

Detectives are still working to confirm the identity of the male. The female has been identified as Mansoor.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Jessica Marie Mansoor is asked to contact the Washoe County Sheriff's Office Detective Division. Detectives would also like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed today's pursuit, particularly anyone who was in the area of Riverside Drive between Vine Street and Booth Street and may have seen the gun thrown from the vehicle.
