Washoe County Sheriff's Office Investigating Verdi Shooting

On September 26, 2023, at approximately 03:00 a.m., Washoe County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies responded to the 3200 block of Mario Road in Verdi for a reported shooting.

When Deputies arrived on the scene, they located a male subject with multiple gunshot wounds. That male was pronounced deceased at 03:44 a.m.

Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are investigating this as an isolated incident, and there is no outstanding threat to the public.
