Beginning Monday October 5, the Washoe County Sheriff's Office Administrative Division is moving to online appointment scheduling. This new business model is a byproduct of infrastructure modifications that were made due to COVID-19 and will maintain newfound efficiencies.
Anyone needing to schedule an appointment with the Civil Section just needs to go to the Washoe County Sheriff's Office website. All requests for evictions, temporary protection orders, summons and complaints, small claims, executions and any other civil documents for service can be found under the Civil tab of the Sheriff's Office website. Community members will be directed to make an appointment once online.
All customers will be screened upon entering the Sheriff's Office at 911 Parr Blvd. Applicants must have their temperature taken and must also wear a face mask.
Only those requiring services should enter the Sheriff's Office. Visitors are asked to refrain from bringing family members or friends.
Once a customer has checked in with the front lobby, the customer will be asked to wait in their vehicle until they are called on their mobile phone to return inside for processing. If the applicant does not have a vehicle or cell phone, they may sit in the main entrance hall of the Sheriff's Office. The Civil Section lobby will remain closed in order to maintain health and safety measures and mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
The Washoe County Sheriff's Office is dedicated to preserving a safe and secure community with professionalism, respect, integrity and the highest commitment to equality.
