Washoe County Sheriff's Office detectives are seeking information from the public that might assist with their investigation of a stabbing which occurred this past weekend at Moon Rocks.
It was shortly after midnight on June 13, 2020 when the call came in to 911. The reporting party and two of his friends remained on scene providing updates, rendering aid, and directing Washoe County Sheriff's Office deputies, Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue and REMSA advanced EMTs and paramedics to the victim.
First responders found a 46-year-old man with four stab wounds to the back. None of the injuries were life threatening; however, one wound did puncture his lung.
According to the victim, there was a large party with approximately 100 people in attendance about 50 yards away from the incident. It is unknown whether the assailants were attendees of the party. Detectives are hoping someone at that party saw the incident, as the victim was near his truck which was high-centered close to the party and would be noticeable.
