All persons who were believed to be involved in a possible road rage incident Monday afternoon in Hidden Valley have been identified and are cooperating with investigating deputies. The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed at this time.
The Washoe County Sheriff's Office would like to thank the media and the public for their willingness to assist with this investigation.
Background:
At approximately 12:45 p.m. on Monday, February 4, 2019, deputies responded to the area of Pembroke Drive and Tamarisk Drive in Hidden Valley on the report of shots heard. On arrival, deputies met with an individual who said he had been involved in a road rage incident that led to the shots fired.
According to the individual, the incident began on Veterans Parkway and involved the subject and an unknown white male driving a white pickup truck. The two vehicles traveled eastbound on Pembroke Drive before the two drivers reportedly stopped their vehicles and got into an argument. At that time at least one shot was fired into the ground. There are no known injuries as a result of this incident.
