This is a great opportunity for men and women to provide security for several Washoe County facilities. The duties of a County Security Officer are to ensure the safety of the clients, staff and general public in the county courthouse and county offices and perform other related duties as necessary.
Applicants must be at least 18-years-old and have a high school diploma or the equivalent at time of application.
The Sheriff's Office is the premiere law enforcement agency in Northern Nevada, and is committed to providing the highest quality police service and protection to our residents and visitors of Washoe County.
Candidates selected for the position will earn $16.87 - $21.94 per hour with health, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits as well as paid vacation, sick leave, holiday pay and longevity pay. The position is also eligible for Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) retirement.
