Second victim of Monday's accident on McCarran Boulevard passes away

A second person has passed away as the result of Monday morning's accident on McCarran Boulevard north of Mill Street.

Hidden Valley resident, Mr. Logan Knight - age 75, was declared deceased late Thursday, February 26, 2015. Mr. Knight was the passenger of the red Cadillac involved in the accident.

The female driver of the Cadillac remains hospitalized at this time.

The Sheriff's Office Major Accident Investigation Team continues to investigate the accident that occurred at approximately 6:40 a.m. on Monday, February 23, 2015. A white Kia SUV was traveling southbound on McCarran Boulevard when it crossed a raised median and collided head-on with the Cadillac. The driver of the Kia, identified as Paul Steven Williams of Sparks, was determined to be deceased at the scene.

The Sheriff's Office is asking for information from anyone who may have witnessed this accident. Witnesses may contact the Sheriff's Major Accident Investigation Team Office at (775) 328-3350.
