Sheriff's House Arrest Program (HAP)
The House Arrest Program (HAP) was developed to provide an innovative approach to incarceration which assists in the reduction of overcrowding and enables the inmate to remain employed and continue to provide for the financial needs of their family. It is one
component of the Alternatives to Incarceration Unit, which places the inmate back into the community with the understanding that the individual will seek and maintain employment, maintain a sober lifestyle, pay weekly fees, and participate in approved therapeutic, and/or rehabilitation programs as required.
