Tip-a-Cop: Sheriff Chuck Allen will wait tables at Famous Dave's this Friday to benefit Special Olympics |

Sheriff Chuck Allen and local Law Enforcement personnel will help serve dinner this Friday at Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que on Kietzke Lane as part of a "Tip-a-Cop" event to help raise support for Special Olympics Nevada.
Law Enforcement personnel will be delivering food and drinks with their "tips" donated to Special Olympics. This event raises money to provide local Special Olympics athletes with FREE year round sports training and competition opportunities. Sheriff Chuck Allen is planning to help out during the dinner hour, 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and invites the public to join him with supporting this great cause.

Special Olympics
- Provides sports training and competition opportunities to more than 22,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities
- Provides practices and a multitude of competition opportunities per year to the athletes at no cost to the athletes or their families
- Receives limited federal funding, but relies on fundraising events like the Tip-a-Cop for support
