Sheriff's staff will help wait tables at the Texas Roadhouse to benefit the Nevada Humane Society September 8th |

Sheriff Chuck Allen and his staff invite all Washoe County animal lovers to join them at the Texas Roadhouse on Thursday, September 8th for a special Tips for Pets fundraiser to benefit the Nevada Humane Society.
The idea for this NHS fundraiser was the brainchild of Washoe County Sheriff's Deputy Heather Neely. Deputy Neely has a passion for animals and wanted to help the NHS in their efforts to keep the animals comfortable and warm while in their care.
Here's how you can help:
- Visit the Texas Roadhouse between 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 8th. Bring the flyer attached as a pdf to this press release
- Show the flyer and Texas Roadhouse will donate 10 percent of your food purchase to the Nevada Humane Society
- Patrons will receive a free Cactus Blossom Appetizer voucher if they donate blankets,towels or gently used dog beds to the Nevada Humane Societythat night.
- Enjoy your meal and visit with Sheriff Allen and deputies who will be paired up with restaurant staff serving tables to help raise additional funds for the NHS (any money donated to the NHS is in addition to the normal gratuity left for the server)
