The Washoe County Sheriff's office is currently investigating a crime spree that occurred this weekend in Cold Springs.
In the early morning hours of Sunday, June 12, 2016, Sheriff's Office Patrol Deputies responded to a residence on Crystal Canyon Court. Deputies met with a homeowner who reported that the tires on all 5 of his vehicles had been slashed. It appeared that the suspect or suspects damaged tires on vehicles in the driveway and then entered the garage and cut the tires on the vehicles parked in the garage.
As Deputies continued to investigate and the sun began to rise, they noticed other vehicles in the area had been damaged. In total, Deputies discovered 13 vehicles in the area with slashed tires.
Deputies believe the vandalism occurred late Saturday or early Sunday morning. The estimated damage to vehicles and property is approximately eight thousand dollars.
Anyone with information about this incident or possible suspects involved in this incident are asked to contact the Washoe County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division at (775) 328-3350 or Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900.
