Reward increased for information of Incline Village church vandalism suspect

The reward for information about the person (or persons) responsible for causing damage to several churches in Incline Village has been more than doubled.

Paritioners of Incline Village churches announced On Thursday September 3, 2015 they are offering an additional $6,500 reward for the arrest and successful prosecution of a suspect or suspects in the ongoing vandalism of churches in Incline Village.
The reward will be added to the $5,000 reward offered by the Federal Bureau of Investigations and $1,000 offered by Secret Witness bringing the new total to $12,500.
The suspect is described as a tall, thin, possibly white male seen wearing a dark colored apron and goggles on surveillance video. Copies of that video are available upon request and photos are attached to this press release.

Background:
Since April 2015 The Washoe County Sheriff's Office, in conjunction with the Federal Bureau of Investigations have investigated several vandalism and anti-religious graffiti incidents to several churches in Incline Village. Damage to these churches began on Easter Sunday 2015 and has continued on a sporadic basis with several documented incidents leading up to September 2, 2015. The damage includes broken windows, defacing property and graffiti vandalism adding up to several thousands of dollars in loss to the churches.
