Sheriff's Office Records and Civil Sections extend morning hours to better serve the public |

The Washoe County Sheriff's Office Records and Civil Sections will be opening their doors one half hour earlier starting September 8, 2015 in order to better serve the public.
In order to accommodate the growing number of people who are attempting to access Records and Civil section services before going to work in the morning, doors will open at 7:30 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. In keeping with past practices, doors will close at 4:00 p.m.
The Civil and Records Sections are closed on Wednesdays. However, the Sheriff's Office Front Desk will be able to assist with time sensitive documents.
The Sheriff's Office Records and Civil sections are located inside the Sheriff's Office at 911 Parr Boulevard.
Records Section Services include:
- Work Permits
- CCW Permits
- Fingerprinting
- Public Records Requests
- Criminal History Requests
- Case Information Requests
- Detention Facility Booking Information
- Sex Offender and Felon Registrations
- Embassy Letters
The Civil Section provides for the service of Temporary Protection Orders, Evictions, Stalking and Harassment Orders, and other legal documents needing service.
Online crime reports may be filed for a number of incidents, including: Identification Theft, Residential Burglary, Vehicle Burglary, Commercial Burglary, Credit or Debit Card Theft/Use, Destruction of Property, Disturbing the Peace, Graffiti, Harassing Phone Calls, Phone Scams, Lost Property, Suspicious Circumstances, Theft, TPO Violations, Traffic Accidents on Private Property, Trespass, Vandalism and Vehicle Tampering.
