Staff from the Sheriff's Office have volunteered their time to help wait tables and talk with the customers about why it is important to assist the Nevada Military Support Alliance.

Present a copy of the Deputies in Denim flyer to your servers (see attached), and Texas Roadhouse will donate 10 percent of your purchase to the Nevada Military Support Alliance.

What: Deputies in Denim in support of the Nevada Military Support Alliance

When: 4:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2015.

Where: Texas Roadhouse, 150 Damonte Ranch Parkway, Reno

Contact: Deputy Jeff McCaskill or Bob Harmon, WCSO Community Relations (775) 785-6235 or (775) 771-8252

Sheriff Chuck Allen said the timing of the event was in keeping with spirit of the Reno Rodeo and his decision to allow all Sheriff's staff to wear denim jeans during the ten days of the event.

"The Nevada Military Support Alliance provides essential services and comfort for families of fallen patriots who have lost their lives in a combat zone," Sheriff Allen said. "We thought the western themes of the Rodeo, the Texas Roadhouse and our Deputies in Denim made for the perfect opportunity to advocate community support for this outstanding organization."

The mission of the Nevada Military Support Alliance is to organize and promote the recognition, support and appreciation of Nevada's men and women of our Armed Forces, Veterans and their families. For more information, visit http://www.nvmilitarysupport.org/
