Washoe County Sheriff Chuck Allen observed his 100th Day in office today with a video updating the public on goals and accomplishments since he took office as Washoe County's twenty-sixth Sheriff.
During the four-minute video, Sheriff Allen discusses progress on a number of initiatives he introduced during the campaign such as the Reserve Deputy Program and increased Community Outreach.
The Sheriff also talks about future plans such as his proposal to establish a Green Ribbon Panel of spiritual, political and other community leaders that will meet four times a year to discuss Washoe County issues and his commitment to hold a Public Open House at the Sheriff's Office sometime in early to mid-summer.
The Sheriff praised the many members of the Sheriff's Office staff who have participated in a number of events raising awareness and support for such community organizations as area schools, victim's rights and services, the Boys and Girls Club, Northern Nevada Children's Cancer Foundation and Special Olympics.
