Sheriff's Office Detectives arrest two Sparks brothers on burglary charges; recover thousands of dollars' worth of stolen property

Washoe County Sheriff's Office Detectives arrested two brothers in Sparks on Wednesday night for multiple charges related to several residential and vehicle burglary investigations. Detectives were also able to recover thousands of dollars' worth of stolen property.

Jeremy Daniel Tester, age 34, and Matthew Dylan Tester, age 19, were arrested at their residence on the 700 block of Glen Meadows Drive at approximately 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday night, March 18 2015. The arrests were the result of a five-month long investigation that began with a residential burglary in the Galena area in mid-October of 2014.

Detectives recovered numerous items from the Galena burglary at the Tester's residence, including a Yamaha Dirt Bike and motorcycle gear, as well as items from other area burglaries.

Jeremy Tester was booked into the Washoe County Detention Facility on one charge of Burglary, one charge of Grand Larceny of an Automobile, one count of Possession of a Gun with an Altered/Removed Serial Number and six counts of Possession of Stolen Property.

Matthew Tester was booked into the Washoe County Detention Facility on five counts of Possession of Stolen Property and one count of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle.

Washoe County Sheriff's Office Patrol Deputies and the RAVEN helicopter assisted with the service of the warrant and arrests.
