Washoe County Sheriff's Office Detectives arrested five people at a Sun Valley residence last night as part of the investigation of a residential burglary that occurred on Hirsh Road in Verdi on January 2.

The suspects face multiple charges based on a Sheriff's Office investigation that incorporated valuable information provided by the Sparks Police Department, Reno Police Department, Nevada Highway Patrol and the Carson City Sheriff's Office.

In addition, local media broadcast information about a gold Dodge Durango believed to be the suspect vehicle involved in the Verdi burglary. This helped to provide additional information.

The investigation led Detectives to a group of suspects living on the 5100 block of Breimon Avenue in Sun Valley. A search warrant was obtained.

At approximately 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, Detectives served the warrant on the Breimon Avenue residence. Investigators obtained information that there were weapons within the residence. As a result, Washoe County Sheriff's Office SWAT was also deployed as a precaution.

Based on the investigation and evidence found at the residence, the following suspects were taken into custody:

Drake Alexander Bettinger, age 40, faces charges related to drug possession and trafficking, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and child abuse/neglect.

Amber Rae Bettinger, age 31, faces charges related to drug possession and trafficking, possession of stolen property, and child abuse/neglect.

Linda Marie Hughes, age 46, faces charges related to drug possession and trafficking, and child abuse/neglect.

Amy Marie Hall, age 38, faces charges related to burglary and attempt to utter a fictitious bill, note or check.

James John Bourelle, age 50, faces charges related to drug possession and trafficking

This is an ongoing investigation. The Sheriff's Office asks that anyone who may have information regarding these suspects contact the Detective Division at (775) 328-3320 or Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900.
