Detectives from the Washoe County Sheriff's Office and Reno Police Department are asking the public for assistance with identifying two men suspected of using counterfeit coupons to fraudulently obtain Microsoft Xbox Live 12-month membership cards from two local Walgreens stores earlier this month.

According to investigators, the first incident occurred at approximately 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2015. The suspects entered the Walgreens store at Mae Anne Avenue and North McCarran Boulevard and used counterfeit coupons to obtain Xbox Live 12-month membership cards valued at $59.99 each. The suspect stated they had obtained the coupons by completing an online survey. The Reno Police Department was notified and is currently investigating this incident.

At 9:15 p.m. on January 3, two men believed to be the same two suspects from the McCarran Boulevard store arrived at the Walgreens store located on the 9700 block of Pyramid Highway where they used three counterfeit coupons to purchase three 12-month membership cards. This time the suspects claimed they had won the coupons in a contest. All three coupons contained bar codes which were accepted by the scanner at the register.

Shortly after the transaction was completed at the Spanish Springs store, the manager received notification of the incident at the Reno Walgreens and contacted the Sheriff's Office.

Surveillance photos of the suspects were provided to investigators by the Spanish Springs store. Those photos are attached to this release.

Secret Witness is offering a $250 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspects in this case. Anyone with information is asked to contact one of the following:
