Washoe County Deputies Seek Public's help in locating a Suspect near Montello and Citron in Reno

Washoe County Sheriff's Office Detectives are asking for the public's help in locating Kevin A. Norton, a 40 year old male, who fled from police this afternoon after Sheriff's Office Deputies attempted a traffic stop.

Mr. Norton has two misdemeanor warrants out for his arrest; one for domestic battery and another for traffic charges through the Nevada Highway Patrol. He now has an additional felony charge for Eluding a Law Enforcement Officer.

Sheriff's deputies attempted to stop Mr. Norton at the intersection of Clear Acre and Scottsdale in Sun Valley. Norton accelerated through a traffic stop and fled southbound to Clear Acre and Wedekind where the pursuit was terminated due to safety concerns. Norton was last seen on foot at Montello and Citron Streets.

The suspect is described as an American Indian Male, 6 feet tall and weighing 230 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes (see attached photo).
