Sheriff's Office offers "Twelve Tweets of Holiday Safety" starting December 1

The holiday season is in full swing and the Washoe County Sheriff's Office wants to help make it a safe and joyous season for all.

The Holidays are an exciting time, filled with distractions. Awareness and information are among the most important keys to staying safe.

To help everyone enjoy a safer holiday season, the Sheriff's Office will offer the "Twelve Tweets of Holiday Safety," beginning Monday, December 1, 2014.

The "Twelve Tweets" are a series of daily tips to help keep residents safe while at home, traveling or celebrating during the holidays.

Tweets will be sent out on weekdays from Monday, December 1, through Tuesday, December 16. To receive "The Twelve Tweets of Christmas," join the Sheriff's Office on Twitter by following: @washoesheriff .
