Sheriff's Office Detectives seek public help with locating suspect(s) who destroyed thousands of dollars worth of fencing in the Virginia Foothills

Washoe County Sheriff's Office Detectives are asking for the public's assistance in locating the person or persons responsible for the destruction of tens of thousands of dollars worth of fencing in the Virginia Foothills.

Sometime during the past week, someone cut large amounts of a barbed-wire fence that surrounds 80 acres of private property on the 108000 block of Marango Road. Numerous fence posts were also damaged. At this time, Detectives estimate the total damage to be approximately $30,000.

Anyone who may have seen anything or anyone suspicious in that area during the last week is asked to contact the Washoe County Sheriff's Office Detective Division at (775) 328-3320.
