The Washoe County Sheriff Michael Haley will host an awards ceremony this Friday, September 5, 2014 to honor commissioned and professional personnel, along with several members of the community, for their heroism, professionalism and commitment to public safety.
The ceremony begins at 6:00 p.m. and will be held at the Robert Z. Hawkins Amphitheater in Bartley Ranch Regional Park.
The Sheriff will present more than 30 citations and Letters of Commendation to commissioned and civilian staff members, volunteers, and citizens.
"Each award represents the individual's dedication to our community," Sheriff Haley said. "This awards ceremony gives us an opportunity to recognize and thank them for their willingness to excel in efforts that make all of us safer, many times at the risk of their own personal safety."
The attached Awards Ceremony program provides a complete list of recipients and a description of each of the awards.
