Washoe County Sheriff's Office Detectives are currently investigating the death of an inmate in the Washoe County Detention Facility.
The decedent, described as a white female in her mid-thirties, was discovered in her cell at approximately 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 24, 2014.
According to investigators, there are no signs of foul play and there are no suspects at this time. Exact cause of death will be determined by the Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office.
The identity of the inmate will be released after the Medical Examiner's Office has completed formal identification and next of kin notification.
