Washoe County Sheriff's Office Detectives are asking for the public's assistance to help identify a person of interest in an assault on a juvenile that occurred last week at the Sun Valley Skate Park.
Shortly after 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, Sheriff's Office Patrol Deputies were notified that a 14-year-old male juvenile may have been the victim of an assault and robbery that had just occurred at the skate park located off 6th Avenue.
Responding Deputies were told of a male adult who had been acting suspiciously at the park that day. Detectives are now trying to locate that individual to determine what, if any, connection he may have to the assault.
The individual is described as a white male adult in his late twenties with curly blonde hair and a tattoo on his stomach. He may have been accompanied by another man who had two pit bulls.
Detectives believe that the person of interest described above may have been at the skate park for much of the day on July 1 and are interested in hearing from anyone who can provide any information that may help to identify him. Witnesses are asked to call the Washoe County Sheriff's Office Detective Division at (775) 328-3320 or Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900.
