Detectives from the Washoe County Sheriff's Office Special Operations and Investigations Division are investigating a series of vehicle burglaries that occurred in the Galena area during the first two-and-a-half weeks of August.
The majority of the burglaries reported so far have occurred in the residential areas just north of Mt. Rose Highway, from Wedge Parkway west into the Saddlehorn Drive area, and in the Rolling Hills area on the south side of Mt. Rose Highway near Galena High School.
Over the weekend, Sheriff's Detectives arrested several juveniles believed to be responsible for a number of vehicle burglaries in the area but believe there have been additional vehicle burglaries during the last couple of weeks and are looking for more information from the public.
Anyone who has been the victim of a recent vehicle burglary in the Galena area, or who may have information related to this investigation, is asked to contact Detective Dave Frankel at (775) 328-3326 or Secret Witness at: 775-322-4900, www.secretwitness.com, or text a Secret Witness tip to 847-411 keyword - SW.
