Sheriff's Honor Guard hosts Fundraising Golf Tournament next Friday

The Washoe County Sheriff's Honor Guard is asking anyone who enjoys a day on the golf course to "start their weekend early" and join them for a fundraising golf tournament at Red Hawk Resort on Friday, July 12.

The Washoe County Sheriff's Honor Guard is a team of highly trained, dedicated professionals who participate in a wide variety of Honor Guard details such as color guards and flag presentations for numerous local and state functions. The Honor Guard also conducts all aspects of Law Enforcement memorials and funerals.

This fundraiser will assist the Honor Guard with expenses for travel to events such as the National Law Enforcement Memorial Week in Washington, D .C. as well as costs associated with the equipment specifically related to the role of the Honor Guard.

The tournament will be held on "The Hills" course at Red Hawk Resort and Club in Sparks. Cost is $100 per golfer and includes lunch, cart and a practice bucket.

The Honor Guard is also seeking sponsorships and donations for this event. For more information about sponsorship opportunities, or to register, interested golfers are asked to email their name, phone number and number of participants to: wcsohonorguard@washoecounty.us
