Washoe County Detention Facility Secure Tonight After Precautionary Lockdown

"The WCDF was placed on a precautionary lockdown this evening for a report of a gunshot fire in the area of our facility. While the lockdown has been lifted, the safety and security of inmates and our community is always my number one priority," said Sheriff Balaam. "The WCDF is secure tonight, and moving forward, the WCSO stands ready to work with and assist the Reno Police Department in investigating tonight's call."
