Commissary

The Commissary stocks snack foods, writing papers, stamped envelopes, toiletries, over-the-counter medications, and art materials. Each Housing Unit receives commissary once a week.  You can order Commissary items for inmates via the internet: www.WashoePackages.com

Medical Unit

The Medical Unit provides 24-hour health care for inmates. Dental care is available by appointment. Prescription medication is provided, as required.

Exercise Yards

Exercise yards are available for each Housing Unit.

Library Services

Inmates have access to books, games, forms and reference materials through Library Services.  Library Services is also the liaison between Keefe Commissary and the Sheriff’s Office.  The Librarian is on duty Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  These services are funded by Inmate Commissary moneys. 

Religious Services

Several chaplains provide spiritual guidance to inmates. Bibles and religious materials have been donated by various religious organizations. Volunteers from several different local denominations hold religious services.
