Administrative Division

The Administrative Division, Captain Carrie Bennett, oversees Training, Research and Development, Backgrounds, Computer Technology, D. A. R. E., Grants Administration, and Fleet Services. 

Captain Carrie Bennett began her career with the Sheriff's Office in 1987 and has proudly served the citizens of Washoe County for 20 years.  Captain Bennett’s law enforcement background includes experience in diverse areas of the Sheriff's Office.  Captain Bennett is a member of the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation and has for many years coordinated the agency's Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) team.

A long-time Nevadan, Captain Bennett graduated from the University of Nevada-Reno, with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.  Captain Bennett enjoys instructing aerobics, playing piano and camping with her family. She is an active member of the Washoe Express Toastmasters Club and Sierra Nevada Critical Incident Stress Management Network.

Administrative Services Manager

The Administrative Services Manager, Debi Campbell, oversees Civil, Records, Payroll and Sheriff Support Specialist – Field. 

Debi Campbell has been with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office for 19 years.   Debi has an Associate of Art’s Degree in Business Management from Truckee Meadows Community College and will soon have a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a minor in Criminal Justice, from the University of Nevada

Under Debi’s supervision, the Records Section has implemented many progressive systems resulting in an automated environment.  Her goal is to consistently provide excellent customer service and see the Records Section embrace e-government to de-centralize and automate as many functions as possible.
