Washoe County Deputies responded to a report of a robbery at a home in Spanish Springs on Sunday, December 20 at approximately 2:00 pm.  A female suspect was arrested minutes later and deputies are asking the public’s help in locating two possible associates.

The suspect, Kelly Marie Mehserle, 24, resident of Washoe Valley, had been passing out fliers advertising “future snow removal” in the area of Pah Rah Drive and Evening Star Drive in Spanish Springs.  After contacting a homeowner at one residence, Mehserle produced a handgun and attempted to enter the residence.  The homeowner pushed her outside, shut the door and called 911.

Deputies arrived and established a perimeter.  Mehserle was arrested minutes later in the area.  She was booked into the Washoe County Jail charged with Burglary with the Use of a Deadly Weapon and Robbery with a Deadly Weapon. Bail is set at $15,000.

Neighbors who witnessed this event say there were two males seen running from the area at the time of the offense.  Deputies are asking anyone with information regarding this crime to please call Detectives at 328-3320 or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
